Fair Board Announces Entertainment Lineup to Council

Members of the Ventura County Fair staff and junior board members presented information about the upcoming fair to the Moorpark City Council at its Wednesday meeting, including special admission days, this year’s entertainment line up and the poster for this year.

The fair, which takes place Aug. 3-14 this year features a Bounty of the County theme, will host Pat Benatar Aug. 5; Clay Walker and Matt Morris on Aug. 6; Alex Rivera, Bronco and Ezequiel Pena on Aug. 7; Three Days Grace on Aug. 8; The Four Top and The Beach Boys Aug. 9; REO Speedwagon Aug. 10; Lifehouse and Toy on Aug. 11 and Trace Adkins on Aug. 12.

There will also be a motorsports show on Aug. 3 and 4 and a rodeo on Aug. 13 and 14.

Special admissions days are as follow:

• Dollar Day: Aug 3. Admission will be $1 until 3 p.m.
• Wristband Days: Aug. 4, 8, 9, and 11. Wristbands for unlimited carnival rides until 7 p.m. will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for $25.
• Fair Cares Food Drive Day: Aug. 4. Get a free return ticket good for fair admission Aug. 8-11 with the purchase of an adult ticket and donation of 5 cans of food for Food Share.
• Youth Day: Aug. 5. Children 12 and younger will be admitted for free all day.
• Seniors and Persons with Disabilities Day: Aug. 9. People 62 and older and people with disabilities will be admitted free.
