Moorpark CHP Office Confirms Death of Bicyclist in Fillmore
The bicyclist's name is being withheld until his family can be notified.
The Moorpark office of the California Highway Patrol on Tuesday reported the death of a bicyclist on Guiberson Road in Fillmore.
At about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, the CHP communication center received a call of a downed bicyclist and was told the 70 year old man appeared to be dead, according to the CHP statement.
The insident is still under investigation by the CHP. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin by the Ventura County Medical Examiner's office.
Guiberson Road runs roughly parallel to Hwy 126 at the Fillmore end of Hwy 23/Grimes Canyon Road.
