Here's a handful of things to keep in mind for today.

    • Wondering about traffic? Check your commute before work!
    • Did you hear—the new Papa John's is open. The pizza restaurant is at 5 W. Los Angeles Ave. and offers a 10 percent discount (even on top of other discounts) for all military personnel and veterans.
    • Arroyopalooza is coming! The free outdoor concert will feature performances by Side Project, Disconnected Dimensions, Cadence, Hey Suburbia and All 7's. There will be vendors, attractions and giveaways as well. The event runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 10.
    • Moorpark Country Days isn't until Oct. 5, but applications for sponsors, parade participants and vendors are being accepted now. Visit the Country Days website for details and applications.
    • Today is Vegetarian Day, according to http://www.daysoftheyear.com. Where do you find the best vegetarian food in the area?
