The Conejo Valley YMCA will host a spring break camp from March 24 to March 28 for Moorpark students and April 14 to April 18 for Conejo Valley students. Camp is available to students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

For students in the Moorpark Unified School District, camp is at the YMCA’s childcare site at Peach Hill Academy (13400 Christian Barrett Rd., Moorpark). Part of the day (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) will be spent at the Conejo Valley YMCA main facility (4031 N Moorpark Rd, Thousand Oaks). Campers will spend the morning at Peach Hill Academy, transported by YMCA van to the Conejo Y and then back to Peach Hill Academy in the afternoon.

Each day of camp will feature a different theme. Activities include a nature hike, arts and crafts, archery, a visit from local the fire station and police department and sport competitions. Swimming in the YMCA's indoor heated pool is part of the fun as is a field trip to Harley’s Bowl in Simi Valley.

“Kids will stay active all day," says Haley Swenson, Conejo Valley YMCA program director. “There will be lots of physical activity as well as creative and learning time.”

The YMCA’s licensed daycare providers run the camp. The cost per camper for the full week is $185 (four or five days) and $111 for part time (two or three days). An additional $40 membership fee is required for non-YMCA program members.
