Conejo Valley YMCA Signing Up Kids for Summer Camp
The Conejo Valley YMCA, serving Thousand Oaks, Moorpark and Santa Rosa Valley, is signing up kids in kindergarten through eighth grade for summer camp. Camp runs from June 16 through August 22. The Conejo Y’s counselor in training program is available for 9th and 10th graders.
“At the Y, summer camp is much more than keeping kids busy,” says Haley Swenson, the Conejo Y’s day camp director. “Summer camp gives kids an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn about being responsible and to grow as an individual and as part of a group. Development of social skills and confidence is a big part of camp.”

Parents can sign their kids up full time (five days a week), part time (two or three days a week) or for individual weeks. Base camp is for campers whose parents prefer that their children stay onsite. While at camp, campers swim in the Y’s indoor heated pool, take part in basketball, archery, rock wall climbing, horseback riding, games and arts and crafts.
