Conejo Valley YMCA’s Turkey Day Dash Seeks Sponsors

The Conejo Valley YMCA, serving Moorpark, Thousand Oaks and the Santa Rosa Valley, is hosting its 9th Annual Turkey Day Dash, a 5K run/walk and 1K family walk, on Thanksgiving morning, November 28 at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. The Y is seeking sponsors for the event.

 

            “The Turkey Day Dash is special to our Y because we strive to excite the community about leading a healthier lifestyle,” says Erin Pierik, the Conejo Y’s executive director. “The funds we raise will help our Y provide financial assistance for youth, families and seniors..The Y never turns anyone away because of an inability to pay. Sponsors keep the Y available for those who need us most.”

            The Turkey Day Dash attracts more than 3,000 participants, making it one of the largest run/walk events in the Conejo Valley. The 1K family walk starting at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K run/walk following at 8:30 a.m.

            Sponsorships start at $500. “Sponsoring the event gives local businesses the opportunity to reach a family-oriented audience while truly changing lives in our community,” says Pierik.
