“Heartburn can develop into a serious illness and should be treated if the condition worsens,” says Dr. Simoni, the first and one of few doctors in the United States who provides a minimally invasive treatment for acid reflux and many of its manifestations using a process known as Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF). “Diet and health style changes and medications can be helpful in many cases, but when these don’t work, there are new, state-of-the-art procedures that resolve reflux issues immediately.”
