If you have been wanting a new feline family member, now is the time!
The Simi Valley Animal shelter, which is located just down the road from Moorpark, is having a special half-price cat adoption event this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 18 - 20.
During the event, you can adopt a cat for just $60. For that low price, your cat will be spayed or neutered, get vaccinations and a microchip, and get a free veterinary visit.
The special $60 price is in effect for the three-day event at the Simi Valley Animal Shelter at 670 West Los Angeles Street in Simi Valley. Shelter hours will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The same $60 special event price will be in effect at the Camarillo Animal Shelter at 600 Aviation Drive in Camarillo near the Camarillo Airport. Camarillo Animal Shelter hours will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The shelters have lots of great cats to choose from, all needing homes now. You can find long fur and short fur, lots of colors and patterns, playful youngsters and calm, gentle adults. They are loving, affectionate, adorable and fantastic company.
