From the Editor: Share Your Autumn Events With the Community

It's that time of year when schools start having Halloween and fall festivals, churches are hosting trunk-or-treat events and Oct. 31 family fun nights and kids' organizations have special events planned.

If your organization is hosting an open-to-the-public event, why not add it to the calendar and write an announcement about it on the site? It's free and easy and it helps spread the word. As well, we'll be able to add the event to our fall events roundup!

To post, you have to be a registered user (It's free, and once you sign up, you can comment on any article and blog in addition to posting the calendar and announcements). Then, just scroll down to the bottom of any Patch page and, on the right-hand side, click on the appropriate choice under "Contribute." Finally, just fill in the template and post! (Hint: We can consider featuring your post on the front page if you attach a photo!)
