Moorpark Easter Egg Hunts

Here are some family-friendly events taking place in and near Moorpark Saturday.

In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt event happening at Arroyo Vista Park we told you about last week, there is plenty of Easter-themed fun to be had nearby. Here are a few of the events taking place today:

Calabasas EGGstravaganza—10 a.m. to noon at Grape Arbor Park, corner of Canwood Street and Parkville Road, Calabasas. Activities: free age group egg hunts and petting zoo; candy, crafts, games, prizes. Photos with the Easter bunny are $5. Bring your own baskets to collect eggs.

Easter Egg Hunt—10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 4550 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark. See the Patch article for details.

Easter Fun Day—10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Simi Valley Town Center, 1555 Simi Town Center Way, Simi Valley. Activities: scavenger hunt, egg decorating, games, face painting, coloring contests, petting zoo and more.

Easter on the Farm—9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Underwood Family Farms, 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark. Activities: Included with a $6 admission (children younger than 2 are admitted for free) are photo opportunities with the Easter bunny, labrynth, balloon dude, animal show and tractor-drawn wagon ride. Tickets are required for the Easter egg hunt, face painting, Easter tattoos, grain train and Easter sling shot. Food will be available for purchase.

Egg Hunt and Salute to Spring—9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, 5005 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. Activities: Free Easter bunny photo opportunities and egg hunt for children ages 1 through 10. Bring a basket to collect eggs.

Spring Egg Hunt and Arts and Crafts Show—9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mae Boyar Park, 130 N. Kanan Road, Oak Park. Activities: Age-divided egg hunts, adult egg throw, inflatables, slides, train, and a mini Ferris wheel plus vendor booths with items for adults and children and food.
