After much success creating the annual Moorpark Beer Tasting Festival, the Moorpark Morning Rotary Club is betting on poker as a new annual fundraising event.
The club will host the inaugural Moorpark Poker Run and Poker Tournament Saturday, April 20. The event is open to the public.
The "run" is a 50-mile ride through Moorpark and surrounding communities where car enthusiasts can showcase their vehicles. Participants collect poker cards at various stops on the drive and those who end up with the best five-card poker hand will win prizes.

Then, following the run, there will be a poker tournament in Moorpark at California RV Service (formally Hooper Custom RV).
Tickets to participate in the poker run and tournament (sold separately or as a package) are available on the event's website. Tickets for the run and tournament are $100 each and combined tickets, for both, are $150.

Money raised through the event will support the Rotary Club's philanthropic efforts. The club supports local schools and community organizations throughout the year.
