Rotary Sets Date, New Venue for Beer Festival

The date's been set and ticket sales have begun for what has become one of Moorpark's most popular annual events. This year's beer festival will take place Oct. 12.

This year, the Moorpark Morning Rotary Club, which sponsors the event, has moved it from High Street to a 100,000-square-foot festival space at Moorpark College. The new venue will feature a VIP tent and ample parking in the college lots.

According to the Beer Festival website, general admission tickets to the beer festival are $40, VIP tickets and designated driver/no-alcohol tickets are also available. "Pre sale" tickets are available at a 20 percent discount online. 

Proceeds for the event fund the Rotary Club's philanthropic efforts throughout the year.

"This event is a great opportunity to bring the community of Moorpark together with our neighbors in the region and to raise money to support our local schools and nonprofit organizations," said Beer Festival chairperson, Lilly Canterbury. 

Last year, the club's foundation gave $25,000 in festival profits to 20 local schools and non-profit groups.
