Chorus to Feature Moorpark Man in Upcoming Show

The San Fernando Valley Male Chorus will perform May 15 in Simi Valley and May 18 in West Hills.

Moorpark's Ralph Mauriello will be one of three featured soloists when the San Fernando Valley Male Chorus performs its annual spring show later this month.

The show, called "The Great American Journey," will include songs from various regions of the country, with musical styles ranging from "The Soldiers Chorus" from the opera Faust (representing the New York City Metropolitan Opera House) to the rousing "76 Trombones" from the Broadway musical The Music Man (representing the state of Iowa).

Mauriello will perform "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera and the other featured soloists, Ken Weiner and Rodger Chartrand, will sing "Mr. Cellophane" from the musical Chicago and Elvis Presley's "Heartbreak Hotel" respectively.
