City Calls for Art Festival Submissions

The annual event takes place April 28 this year.

The City of Moorpark is seeking submissions for its annual arts festival, scheduled this year for April 28. The one-day event features visual art, music, theater arts and hands-on activities.

Artists from all over Southern California are invited to submit art work entries for display. All work must be the artist's origination and must comply with the art entry requirements on the application, which is available on the City of Moorpark website, at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center or by calling the center at 805-517-6300. There is a $20 entry fee to submit four pieces of art. The submission deadline is 5 p.m. April 6.

The city strongly encourages artists to be present for the duration of the event. Artwork displayed at the show will be juried. Ribbons will be awarded for first through third places and honorable mention in each category.
