Mark Bailey Concert

Well-known local musician Mark Bailey will be sharing his latest ‘song stories’ with the community at a free concert on Saturday, May 12 at 7pm at Moorpark Presbyterian Church.

“Singing, song-writing, performing – they’ve always been a passion of mine,” shared Bailey whose lively, fun-filled performances are a highlight each year at Moorpark Country Days.  “I’ve been blessed to be able to share these gifts in concerts and now to release my second CD.”

A prolific songwriter, Bailey wrote all 12 songs on his latest CD, “I’m Gonna Sing.” Produced by industry veteran Michael Brady – former bass player and vocalist with acts such as Kenny Loggins, Jim Messina, The Captain & Tennille and The Sandpipers – the album offers a unique blend of many different styles of music with country/rock and folk influences.

“Mark has a wonderful ability to explore and teach about Christian life through music,” said MPC Pastor Dave Wilkinson. “His lyrics go well beyond simple formulas. His music will make you applaud. But it will also make you think.”

Bailey, who also happens to be the father of current Miss Ventura County Kayla Bailey, noted, “We’re going to have a great time, sharing laughs, fun and music – and there will also be an opportunity to donate to benefit Childhelp, a wonderful organization which works to prevent and treat child abuse.”  Wilkinson added, “We’re glad to be able to offer this terrific evening and look forward to seeing everyone there.”
