Library Closes Book on Summer Reading Program

The Moorpark City Library’s One World, Many Stories summer reading programs for teens and children ended this week with grand finale parties.

In addition to reading, program participants had their choice of a number of activities in which to partake and performances to watch.

As part of its finale, the teen program included a book cover contest, where ‘tweens and teens created new covers for existing books, with the winning cover serving as the actual cover on the library’s copy of the book.

The winner was Ana Castillo, who crafted a cover for Rachel Hawkins’ Demonglass.
