Watch as the turns into a blues club tomorrow!
The Ventura County Blues Society (VCBS) just announced its "Sunday Matinee Concert Series" featuring the likes of renowned guitarist Chris Cain and Jimmy Thackery, among a few of the most popular names in the American Blues scene.
The following will be opening for Cain tomorrow, July 8: Tommy Marsh and Bad Dog, fronted by VCBS-sponsored Wednesday night jam leader, guitarist-vocalist Tommy Marsh; and L.A. area favorites (and recent International Blues Challenge competitors) Kelly’s Lot, featuring dynamic vocalist, Kelly Zirbes.
Cigars, barbecue, snacks, beer, wine, cocktails and other beverages will be available at the show. There will also be a raffle between bands.
The show starts at 1 p.m. but doors will open at 12 p.m. Tickets are $20 for VCBS members and $25 for the general public. Tickets may be purchased online at www.venturacountybluessociety.org.
If you miss this one, two other concerts are being planned for August and September.
