Teens to Cover Literature Over Summer

The City Library is having a book cover design contest.

The Moorpark City Library is having a book cover decorating contest for teens and ’tweens this month.

Students in grades six through twelve can select a book from the library’s teen collection and create a new cover for it for a chance to have the book permanently recovered with their design. As well, the top five entrants, as judged by the Friends of the Library, will receive a 12-inch by 18-inch poster of their book cover.

Covers should be submitted on an 8.5-inch by 11-inch sheet of paper and the book’s title and author should be included. The library will accept one entry per person and the entry deadline is July 27.
