Theater Production of 'Prelude to a Kiss' Coming to Moorpark College

The Moorpark College Theatre Arts Department has announced its fall 2013 production of Craig Lucas’ Prelude to a Kiss.

“Prelude,” which garnered a Tony Award nomination for Best Play in 1990 and was also a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, will run on the main stage of the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Moorpark College.

Set in the 1980's, the story is about two young lovers who meet and get married, but their wedding day is interrupted by a kiss from an elderly man that sends them both on a strange journey.  It's a dark fairy-tale, commenting on universal themes, like the limits of love and the meaning of commitment. In addition to the young lover’s dilemma, this edgy romantic comedy offers a wide range of entertaining additions to appeal to all audiences including; a piano-player and several torch song soloists.
