Tool Tip: 'Silence of the Lambs' = Great Guacamole
Don't silence THIS Lamb (avocado)!
Everyone remember that great, scary movie with Hannibal Lector? Remember his scary mask? Somehow this photo of my avocado-tool AND fresh, local Lamb avocados brought this title to mind.
Anyway - this tool is great for cubing up Lamb avocados quickly and efficiently so you can use them in guacamole. I wish I sold it on my site (www.AvocadoDiva.com) but, alas, it was a gift to me—I believe from Williams-Sonoma.
And what, you may ask, is a Lamb avocado? The Lamb variety is a late summer/early fall avocado that is related to the Hass; however, it is even larger and more dense and often, more full of oil. You can find them right now in local grocery stores. They are often labeled as "Lamb-Hass" or "Large-Hass. They make excellent guacamole.

The Lamb family (who patented this avocado) is LOCAL - they are desendents of the Camarillo family and they live in Santa Rosa Valley! So enjoy this local fruit.
