It's Tomato Time!

Underwood Farms is having it's Pick-Your-Own Roma Tomatoes Sale.

We're in a recession and prices seem to be going up everywhere, but one thing the people of Moorpark can count on—for this year, at least—is the 25-cent-per-pound sale of Roma tomatoes at Underwood Family Farms.

The farms' Moorpark location, at 3370 Sunset Valley Road, will be open from 6 a.m. to noon Sunday for the event.

The farm asks that pickers bring their own containers that contain less than 50 pounds. There is no admission cost to enter and pick.

The farm has other pick-your-own crops throughout the year. Check the schedule online to see what's currently available and what crops will be ready soon.

Next on the farm's events calendar is the annual Fall Harvest Festival, which will run Sept. 29 through Oct. 31. It will be followed by the annual Moorpark Rotary Civil War reenactment on Nov. 10 and 11.
