Patch Chat: Talking Tacos

For National Taco Day, we want to know your favorite local place to visit for Mexican food.

It's Taco Tuesday. No, really, it is. Oct. 4 is National Taco Day.

We’re not sure which entity, exactly, deemed it such, as it appears the president, the Senate and state legislatures all designate various days to celebrate different items, people, ideas and foods (after various lobbyists do their thing).

But what we’re sure of is that Moorpark knows its tacos (and tostadas, tamales, tequila…), so we at Patch were wondering where you go for your taco fix.

is big with the younger crowd, but is that due to marketing and location, location, location? Or is it because of the fresh ingredients and ability to get it made to your liking?

is popular, but is it because the food is authentic or because it’s been around for a long time—of course, those two could go hand in hand.

What do you think of easily seen restaurants like ? Or the smaller, hole-in-the wall places in strip-mall locations like ? Or just maybe the best tacos are the ones you make at home. Oh, so many choices!

Vote in our poll, but also, give us your opinions. Why is your favorite your favorite? Do you have a favorite recipe? Be sure to share that as well. Let’s chat!
