Poll: Who's got the best burgers?

Vote before Friday morning, when the poll comes down.

This week, Patch is out to find our readers' choice for the best burgers in Moorpark.

Whether you like a plain patty, a full sandwich with all the regular fixin's or something more gourmet, we want to know who serves the absolute best burger—so we're asking you to vote for your favorite and then review it in our Places directory.

On our list are , , , , and —and how could we leave out Fabio's "boorgur" at , which appears on the menu despite being the dish for which he was sent home on his latest Top Chef battle?

Did we forget your favorite? Let us know in the comments section.

We're keeping this poll local-ish and avoiding the very large fast food chains, so as much as we love an In-n-Out animal style burger as much as the next connoisseur, we're leaving them—along with McDonalds, Jack In the Box and Carl's Jr.—out.

Voting is open until 9 a.m. on Friday and the winner will be announced at noon on Friday.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the editor, based on poll results, comments below and reviews on Patch Places (click on the links to the businesses above to post a review).

Please vote only once. If you have an urge to be heard several times, vote in the "Best Of" polls on other SoCal Patch sites or wait until next week's poll on Moorpark Patch.

Have fun!

I know you're not supposed to go to Cafe Firenze for hamburgers when they have such good Italian food, but I love their Greek Burger with feta cheese - and it's even on their under $10 lunch menu. Score!

Wood Ranch isn't considered a chain? I wouldn't include it in the poll.

Hi Nikki, We actually went back and forth on this a bit. Wood Ranch is a chain (and so was our coffee winner, It's a Grind, actually), but we had a few nominations for it and we decided it was a local-ish chain... that is to say there are only Southern California locations. We're keeping them in this week's poll, as we're already into day two, but we'd love to hear everyone's thoughts about including these types of chains in future polls.

The Castus Patch has an outstanding Patty Melt, with grilled onions, sourdough bread choice of cheese. Along with good portion of Steak fries and of course a dill pickle. Have other great burgers, but the Patty Melt is to die for. Fresh, juicy and tender. My thumbs up for Castus Patch.. remember this is a mom and pop place to enjoy breakfast and lunch in Moorpark with the great service.
