Weekly Grocery Deals: Pre-pre Thanksgiving Sales

This week, there's no special theme for our picks of the best weekly sale items, but we did notice some stores are starting to advertise turkeys and traditional trimmings. We've listed the regular items by store as usual, but if you scroll down, you'll also see some specific Thanksgiving items as well.

• Ready Pac salad blends are available on a buy one, get-one-free basis, as are red, white or yellow onions. Two 18-count packs of freshly baked cookies are $5. 10-packs of Capri Sun fruit drink or Kool-Aid Jammers juice drinks are $1.99 each and Sundown and Nature Made vitamins are buy one, get one free.

• Farmer John half hams are 97 cents per pound. Fresh & Easy canned vegetables are six for $3 when you buy multiples of six. 18-count packs of eggs are two for $5 and Fresh & Easy brand organic chicken, vegetable and natural beef broth are $1.99 per 32-oz box.

• Broccoli or white cauliflower and Roma tomatoes are 88 cents per pound. 20-oz. bottles of Vitaminwater, Del Monte Vegetables, Campbell’s cream of mushroom or chicken soup and Swanson chicken broth cans are 49 cents each when you buy 10. Nature Made or Sundown vitamins or supplements are buy one jar, get one free. Hass avocados are 10 for $10 and red, yellow and orange bell peppers are 4 for $5.

Smart and Final

• Seedless red grapes are 99 cents per pound, cans of Campbell’s chicken noodle or tomato condensed soup are 59 cents each, boxes of Honey Bunches of Oats cereal are $1.99 and Shasta soda is 69 cents per two-liter bottle. Imperial vegetable oil spread is 59 cents per 16-oz. pack, and fresh, grape tomatoes are 99 cents per 10-oz. package.

• Boneless, skinless chicken breasts sold in 4-lb. bags are $1.77 per pound, 12-packs of Coke, Pepsi or 7-Up are on sale on a buy two, get two basis and Arm & Hammer liquid laundry detergent in 60.5 to 75-oz. bottles are buy one, get one, as are Ruffles potato chips in 8.5 to 9.5-oz. bags. Red or golden delicious apples are 77 cents a pound and Campell’s Condensed Cream of Chicken of Mushroom soup is on sale for $4 for 5 10.75-oz. cans.

Most prices are good through Nov. 15. Be sure to bring the stores' savings cards to get the sales prices.

Thanksgiving Items

Turkey

• Vons—Butterball: 10 to 16 lb. turkeys are $11 each and 16.01 to 24 lbs. are $13. Safeway brand turkeys are $7 for 12.01 to 16-lbs. 12.01 to 16-lbs are $8 and 16.01 to 20-lbs. are $10. All tukey prices are valid with a $25 purchase and club card.
• Albertsons—Butterball and Honeysuckle turkeys are buy one, get one free with a minimum $25 purchase and store savings card.
• Fresh & Easy—Jennie-O turkeys are 59 cents per pound.

Stuffing

• Albertsons—Pepperidge Farm 12 to 14-oz. bags are $2.99 each.
• Ralphs—Stove Top 6-oz. boxes are 99 cents each when you buy 10.
• Vons—Pepperidge Farms 12 to 14-oz. bags are two for $6. Safeway brand stuffing mix, 6-oz. boxes, are $1.25 each.
• Fresh & Easy—Mrs. Cubbison’s or Fresh & Easy brand stuffing in 6 to 12-oz. boxes are $1.99 each.

Cranberry Sauce

• Ralphs—Oceanspray 14-oz. cans are 99 cents each when you buy 10.

Gravy

• Albertsons—Knorr Gravy or Au Jus mix packets are four for $5.
