5 Things to Know Today: Dec. 19

Here are your five things to start the day.

Welcome to "5 Things You Need to Know Today," a daily Patch feature that provides five quick tidbits of information in one spot. Here they are:

  1. The will host the last in its series of free teen gift-making workshops from 4 to 6 today. Teens and 'tweens from fifth grade and higher can stop in to make some cool items.
  2. Join and Patch for a movie night Tuesday. Admission is free, but we are collecting new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls at Childrens Hospital, Los Angeles. Doors open at 6 p.m.; The movie, The Polar Express, starts at 7 p.m.
  3. The library will also screen A Christmas Story for teens at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
  4. Moorpark's lowest price per gallon for regular gas is down again. It's $3.51 according to GasBuddy.com. Find it at the Alliance station at 50 W. Los Angeles Ave.
  5. The National Weather Service is predicting a high near 56 and a low near 44 degrees.
