Welcome to "5 Things You Need to Know Today," a daily Patch feature that provides five quick tidbits of information in one spot. Here they are:

  1. The High Street Arts Center is hosting a holiday movie marathon beginning at 10 a.m. today. Four favorite holiday movies—How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Elf and A Christmas Story—will be screened.   2. Today is your last chance to support Moorpark High School music programs by purchasing a real Christmas tree. The sale continues this afternoon evening from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Staples parking lot at 742 Los Angeles Ave.
  3. It's storytime and crafts day for children at the library. The free event takes place at 10:30 a.m.
  4. Moorpark's lowest price per gallon for regular gas is $3.49, according to GasBuddy.com. Find it at the Alliance station at 50 W. Los Angeles Ave., the Union 76 station at 13800 Princeton Ave. and the Chevron station at 502 New Los Angeles Ave.
  5. The National Weather Service is predicting a high near 64 and a low near 43 degrees.
