5 Things to Know Today: Feb. 19

Here are five facts to start your Sunday.

Welcome to "5 Things You Need to Know Today," a daily Patch feature that provides five quick tidbits of information in one spot. Here they are:

  1. The Active Adult Center will celebrate February birthdays with a Mardi Gras celebration at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. Lunch, which costs $2.75, will be followed with New Orleans music. Call 805-517-6261 to make reservations, which are required.
  2. The Regan Library will host a Presidents Day celebration Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free but admission to the actual museum applies. The museum is at 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley.
  3. Does your organization, church, team or business have a community organization you want to invite your neighbors to? You can post it directly on the Patch calendar.   4. The National Weather Service is predicting a high near 59 degrees and a low near 43 degrees with a chance of drizzle.
  5. Moorpark's lowest price per gallon for regular gas is $4.03, according to GasBuddy.com. Find it at the Shell station at 6599 Collins Drive.
