  1. spring semester begins today. You may still be able to register. Search for open classes online on the school's website.
  2. It's a busy day for Moorpark High School's athletes. The soccer and basketball teams take on Thousand Oaks High as follows: boys basketball plays at T.O. at 7:30 p.m., boys soccer plays at T.O. at 6 p.m., girls basketball plays at home at 7 p.m. and girls soccer plays at home at 6 p.m.
  3. Make your appointments now to dispose of household hazardous waste on Jan. 13 and 14 in Camarillo. Appointments, which can be made by calling 805-987-0717, are mandatory. For more information, call 805-517-6241.
  4. The National Weather Service is predicting a high near 74 and a low near 46 degrees. Expect the wind to continue
  5. Moorpark's lowest price per gallon for regular gas is $3.69, according to GasBuddy.com. Find it at the Union 76 stations at 13800 Princeton Ave., the Alliance station at 50 W. Los Angeles Ave. and the Shell station at 6599 Collins Drive.
