5 Things to Know Today: March 2

TGIF!

Welcome to "5 Things to Know Today," a daily Patch feature that provides five quick tidbits of information in one spot. Here they are:

  1. Don't forget Friday is farmers market day. Get fresh fruit, veggies and cut flowers as well as home made goods and hot kettle corn! The market is in the parking lot from 3 to 8 p.m.
  2. The Active Adult Center's home delivered meals program is seeking volunteer drivers to deliver food Monday through Friday to home-bound seniors who have difficulty preparing a meal themselves. Call the center at 805-517-6261..
  3. Voting for closes at 9 a.m., so be sure to get those votes and reviews in. Also, next week, we'll be asking your opinion on hamburgers. Leave a comment or shoot an email to rebecca.whitnall@patch.com with restaurants you think should be included in the survey.
  4. The National Weather Service is predicting a high near 68 degrees and a low near 48 degrees. Gusty morning winds are expected to die down by the afternoon hours.
  5. Moorpark's lowest price per gallon for regular gas is $4.31, according to GasBuddy.com. Find it at the Union 76 station at 13800 Princeton Ave.
