5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 18

Showgirls and poker chips? Maybe not... but the high school's chorus will croon Vegas style tonight.

Welcome to "5 Things You Need to Know Today," a Patch feature that provides five quick tidbits of information in one spot.

  1. The Moorpark High School Chorus presents its Viva Las Vegas concert at 7 p.m. tonight in the school's performing arts center. Tickets are $5 at the door.
  2. Children and their family members can enjoy Family Storytime at the library, which includes stories, songs and a craft, at 10:30 a.m. Students in grades six through 12 can come play Wii games from 4 to 6 p.m.
  3. There will be a free seminar for homeowners who are having trouble making their mortgage payments or are facing a short sale or foreclosure. at Moorpark Presbyterian Church at 6:30 p.m. tonight.   4. The National Weather Service is predicting a high around 63 degrees. The low will be around 48 degrees.
  5. The lowest price for regular gasoline in Moorpark, according to VenturaGasPrices.com, is 4.15 per gallon. Find it at the Union 76 station at 13800 Princeton Ave.
