Beer Festival Participant List Grows

The Moorpark Beer Tasting Festival, which takes place Sept. 30 in conjunction with the annual Country Days celebration, is growing.

The Moorpark Morning Rotary, event sponsor, has added Firestone Walker, Stone Brewing Company and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company to those participating in the event.

"The participation of Firestone Walker Brewing Company, as well as other great local and regional brewers confirms what we have known all along: that the Moorpark Beer Tasting Festival is fast becoming one of Ventura County's signature events," said Lilly Canturbury, event co-chairperson.

Now in its second year, the festival will also feature local brewers Kearsarge Beers, Enegren Brewing Company, Lab Brewing Company and Butler Brewing Company.

As well, Chronic Tacos, Garman's Irish Pub, Me N Ed's Pizza and the Dugout Sports Grill will provide food for the event.

Tickets for the event will be $50 at the door but are available for $40 in advance on the Beer Tasting Festival website. As well, tickets for non-drinkers are available for $25. Proceeds will benefit local schools and community organizations via the Morning Rotary Club. For more information, visit the website.
