Celebrate the Earth

Here's a list of nearby Earth Day celebrations.

Today is Earth Day, the 41st annual Earth Day, to be exact. Over the years, environmental concerns shift and grow and the observance has spread around the globe.

Celebrations, however, look to have kept the spirit of the very first environmental teach-ins that took place in 1970 with opportunities to learn about recycling and reusing items and reducing waste and pollution.

Moorpark had its joint Saturday, but there are still some not too far away opportunities to join a celebration.
