CHP Offers Free Safety Program for Teenage Drivers
Class aims to Help Teenagers Become Safer Drivers
For new teenage drivers and their concerned parents, the California Highway Patrol is offering a free Start Smart traffic safety program on Thursday, November 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Moorpark CHP office.
The Start Smart program is designed to help future and newly licensed teenage drivers become more aware of the responsibilities that come with being a licensed California driver.
The program is intended as an educational tool for parents and teenagers in an effort to reduce the number of teenage injuries and deaths resulting from traffic collisions.

It includes information on defensive driving, traffic laws in California, dynamics of traffic collisions, tips on avoiding traffic collisions and DUI awareness.
