Conrad Murray Guilty, Jury Says

Judge remands the Michael Jackson doctor to jail until sentencing.

After two days of deliberation, jurors of the trial involving the death of Michael Jackson have found Dr. Conrad Murray guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

Murray, 58, was charged with just the one count of manslaughter and plead not guilty.

Jackson, 50, died slightly more than two years ago on June 25, 2009. The trial lasted about six weeks.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor remanded the doctor to prison until a Nov. 29 sentancing where he could get up to four years of prison time.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Murray likely faces the loss of his medical license. Though California authorities have already suspended his right to practice, but Nevada and Texas were waiting for the verdict before deciding what to do in terms of his licenses.
