Decking the Halls

How festive is your neighborhood?

To light or not to light seems to be a big question in Moorpark this time of year so we set out to see what the consensus is. Our intrepid correspondent asked people around town about decorations during the holiday season. Here is what you said:

Q: Where do you go in Moorpark to look at Christmas Lights?

A: Kathy Branstetter: Near the High School, off Tierra Rejada.

Q: When do you begin decorating and how involved do you get?

A: Branstetter: I'm medium; [I start] right after Thanksgiving.

A: Martinez: I started last week and I'm above average – I'm not overly [involved], but I'd say "above average."

A: Daugherty: I usually do it the day after Thanksgiving and I don't get that intense.

Q: The great debate: Color or white light bulbs on the tree?

A: Branstetter:  Color, of course!

A: Martinez:  Only white!

A: Daugherty: White lights on the tree.
