'House' Filming to Cause High Street Closure

The street will be closed to traffic intermittently Friday.

Part of High Street and streets in the nearby area will be closed intermittently Friday for the filming of an episode of Fox television's House.

The show's stars, Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard, are scheduled to film a scene in a parked car on High Street and then filming will move into the Cactus Patch restaurant, according to information provided for the filming permit.

The restricted car and pedestrian traffic will last from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the following streets:

  • High Street between Walnut Street and Magnolia Avenue,
  • Bard Street between High Street and Charles Street,
  • Walnut Street between High Street and Charles Street and
  • Magnolia Avenue between High Street and Magnolia Park.

It's possible Walnut Street and Magnolia Avenue will reopen once filming moves into the Cactus Patch restaurant.

According to its Facebook page, the Cactus Patch will be closed through Saturday and reopening for its regular schedule Sunday.
