Moorpark Man Injured at T.O. Car Wash

The man was sent to a medical center for treatment for a possible broken leg.

A Moorpark man who works at a Thousand Oaks car wash was injured at work when he inadvertantly left a vehicle's transmission in reverse.

Gus Carranza, 22, drove a limousine onto the wash tracks at Village Hand Wash Car Wash and got out of the car, accidentally leaving the car in reverse, according to a statement issued by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

As the vehicle moved backward, Carranza attempted to stop it by pushing from behind but got trapped behind the car and an SUV that was behind it, the statement said.

Caranza was treated at the scene and sent to Los Robles emergency room for medical treatment for a possible broken leg, according to the Sheriff's Department.
