Moorpark's 5 Things to Know Today: Sept. 20

Here's what's happening in and around Moorpark at-a-glance.

  1. The Library hosts a free Kids and Crafts day from 2 to 4 today.
  2. The Ventura Astronomical Society invites the public to its monthly meeting at 7:15 p.m. tonight at the Moorpark College Forum, where former JPL/Nasa engineer and amateur astronomer Charles Morris will speak about comets.   3. The Moorpark Planning Commission will meet Tuesday to discuss a proposed two-story, 77,834 square-foot medical office building on a four-acre site at 635 Los Angeles Ave. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Moorpark Community Center, 799 Moorpark Ave.
  4. According to the National Weather Service, today's high will be around 86 degrees with a low of 56 degrees.
  5. The lowest price of gas in Moorpark, according to GasBuddy.com, has dropped slightly to $4.09 per gallon. Find it at the Shell station at 301 W. Los Angeles Ave. at Park Lane.
