Moorpark Week in Review: Suspected Suicide, Drug Bust and Skateboarder Video

Here's a recap of other Patch stories you may have missed.

With much of Southern California news this week dedicated to the capture of Christopher Dorner—suspected of murdering Moorpark's Keith Lawrence, his fiancee and two police officers—there were also important stories local to Moorpark and the surrounding area. Just in case you missed them, here are our top five stories.

A man was arrested Monday night in Moorpark on suspicion of felony drug activity after sheriff’s officials found 100 grams of methamphetamine in his pickup truck during a traffic stop.

A star of television's Storage Wars was found dead in a car at his Simi Valley wharehouse. Mark Balelo's died of asphyxiation from carbon monoxide and exhaust fumes according to the county medical examiner's office.

It wasn't all bad news for Moorpark, though. Patch also reported on the Moorpark Relay for Life kickoff. The actual walk will take place April 27 at Arroyo Vista Park this year.

We learned big-time skater Brad McClain had spent some time shredding at the Moorpark Skate Park and shared some video of his time here.
