Pageant Winner to Host Fundraiser

Miss Ventura County, Megan Wisler, is preparing for a state level competition and is raising money to help get there.

Moorpark may soon be the home to Miss California, if things go Megan Wisler’s way.

Wisler, the 2011 Miss Ventura County, will compete for the Miss California title in Fresno, California later this month.

Wisler, 21, was crowned Miss Ventura County after competing against seven other contestants in January.

In addition to receiving the title and a scholarship prize, Wisler also won the opportunity to compete for the Miss California pageant.

In order to help fund her way to the pageant, she is holding a fundraiser on Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at .

A $20 entrance fee to the event includes a buffet meal and silent auction.

The proceeds from this meal will also help fund the Children’s Miracle Network.
