Simi Fireworks Heard in Moorpark

Booms heard throughout Moorpark Saturday night were caused by Simi Valley foreworks.

Fireworks in Simi Valley were the cause of the series of booms Moorpark residents reported hearing between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Saturday, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

Patch readers from the Moorpark College area to the Mountain Meadows areas of the city reported hearing the sounds which were caused by fireworks that accompanied an outdoor concert, said the Sheriff's department, which also had received inquiries.

Shoppers at the Moorpark Albertsons were bewildered by the loud banging.
