The Blue and Grey Civil War Re-enactment will continue despite overnight rain, said organizers Saturday morning; however, the battle re-enactments themselves have been cancelled for today.
A bit of rain couldn't keep people from showing up to the Blue and Grey Civil War Re-enactment, so—despite organizers' initial reactions Saturday morning—the show will go on. Re-enactors with their camps and suttlers with their goods are all set up and visitors to the event will have the opportunity to visit with them and shop, said Jim Lewis, president of the Moorpark Rotary Club, which sponsors the annual event.
Lewis said because the weather forecast for Sunday was for clear skies, the battles should take place tomorrow.
Because of the weather and battle cancelation for today, Lewis said the admission cost for today has been lowered to $5.
