Wind May Be Behind Power Outage

Southern California Edison predicts problems to be fixed by 4 p.m.

The winds that appeared overnight are wreaking havoc for Southern California Edison and its customers. In Moorpark, a total of a little more than 6,000 customers have had interruptions to their power, according to information obtained from the company’s website.

The outage appears to be in the general area west of Princeton Avenue and north of Highway 118.

While employees for the company were unable to provide information for the Moorpark outage Saturday, its website indicates the disruption in service is the result of some equipment problems and employees attributed it to the probable result of windy weather conditions.
