MHS SPOOKTACULAR CONCERT - Night #2

The Moorpark High School Instrumental Music Program will present their third annual "Spooktacular" Concert this October! The Spooktacular has proven to be one most popular musical performances of the year, with last year’s event selling out to a standing-room-only crowd. Due to the strong community enthusiasm for this unique program, this year’s Spooktacular is expanding to two nights, Thursday, Oct.24th and Friday, Oct. 25th, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, at the Moorpark High School Performing Arts Center

Past years have featured an assortment of ghosts, zombies and monsters performing spooky seasonal favorites. This years’ program will have an Egyptian theme, with Mummy’s and Pharaohs roaming the stage. Over 125 members of Moorpark High School’s concert bands, strings, jazz ensembles and color guard will perform in full costume. Conductors Samantha and John Theisen will also lead the groups in “Spooktacular” attire of their own. Audience members are encouraged to dress up for the concert and there will be a variety of food and activities at the event.

The Spooktacular has something for all ages, including a costume parade and contests for the kids at intermission. Tickets are $ 10 if purchased in advance ($15 at the door, space permitting), with the proceeds benefitting the Moorpark High Instrumental Music Program and Color Guard.
