Moorpark Basketball Association to offer FREE Player & Coaches Clinics

Plans are underway for the 2013-14 season of the Boys & Girls Club's Moorpark Basketball Association (MBA), which is for girls and boys in grades 3-8. The MBA is a developmental youth basketball program that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship and fun. Over the summer an MBA Advisory Board, consisting of parents, coaches and community members, was created in order to build and improve upon the program, and several changes are in the works to provide a fun and great learning experience for Moorpark's youth. 

There will be two FREE player and coaches clinics on October 13 and 20 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club at 200 Casey Road.  These clinics will help players develop skills, court awareness and knowledge of offense and defense. Coaches will have an opportunity to work with some Moorpark High School basketball coaches on skill & drill practice activities as well as some basic offensive and defensive plays.

Volunteer coaches are a vital part of the MBA, and are needed for the upcoming season. If you are interested in volunteering as a coach, please attend one or both of the coaches clinics. You may also contact the Boys & Girls Club at 805-529-1140 or go to www.bgcmoorpark.org.
