Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark to Honor Rob Dearborn at Auction & Dinner Gala

The Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark will honor long time educator and coach Rob Dearborn as its Champion of Youth at its 25th annual Dinner & Auction Gala, which will take place on Saturday, March 31 at 6 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library’s Air Force One Pavilion. This year’s auction theme is “Great Futures Start Here.”

Rob Dearborn has impacted thousands of kids during his career as a teacher and coach at Moorpark High School and as a volunteer, leader and coach in a range of youth sports programs in the community.  Dearborn joined the staff at Moorpark High School more than 20 years ago as a science teacher and football & track coach, and eventually became the Athletic Director, which he’s been for the last 15 years. Even though his position as Athletic Director keeps him busy overseeing the high school facilities as well as all athletic programs, Dearborn still continues to coach Freshman football as well as track.  According to Scott Mosher, the Club’s Chief Professional Officer, “At the Club, when we think about how we’re impacting kids, we focus on three key outcomes: their academic success, good character & citizenship and healthy lifestyles. Rob has been promoting these outcomes in our community for more than two decades, and that’s demonstrated by the positive impact he’s had on so many of Moorpark’s kids.”

The Club also has some spectacular silent and live auction items that are not to be missed! Guests can bid on behind-the-plate Dodger tickets, a chef table at Cafe Firenze with Fabio Viviani, prime Los Angeles Lakers tickets, seats directly behind the scorer’s table at a Clippers game, a week's stay in Sedona, Arizona, a trip to Hawaii and weekend spa retreats at breathtaking destinations. There will also be a variety of themed gifts baskets, golf foursomes, gift certificates, artwork and beautiful jewelry
available to bid on as well.
