The Moorpark Women's Fortnightly Club is a philanthropic/friendship club that has been serving the Moorpark area for 100+ years. The 140 members raise funds to support local charities as well as national opportunities. This May 20, 2012 Spring Luncheon/fashion show fundraiser, "I'll Stand By You", will benefit CASA of Ventura County. For tickets, call: 805-529-1766. The event featuring a CASA guest speaker, live and silent auction items and boutique vendors will take place at the Moorpark Country Club. In 2011, MWFC was able to raise enough funds at this luncheon to grant 4 Make-A-Wish requests in the Ventura County area. The club awards numerous scholarships to graduating High School seniors, and women returning to Community College. Recently, members and their families volunteered in the Brush With Kindness Program for Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County and painted and improved landscaping of a home in Fillmore.
