"Boo" Returns to the Zoo

The Moorpark College Teaching Zoo will host its annual Boo at the Zoo this weekend.

America's Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College will once again welcome children and their families to celebrate Halloween with the animals at the annual Boo at the Zoo event.

The zoo's students and staff invite everyone to wear their costumes, eat some candy and learn about all the animals that call the college home through educational shows and opportunities to speak with animal trainers throughout the day.

There will also be a kids zone with games, face painting, raffle items, a bake sale and trick-or-treating.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The entrance fee is $6 for children and $8 for adults. Proceeds will go back into the zoo, helping to feed the animals and make improvements to their enclosures.

The zoo is on the Moorpark College campus at 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark.
