Get Out for Some Weekend Fun: Sept. 7-9

Here are some events and activities taking place in and around the neighborhood this weekend.

We know you don't always stay in the neighborhood for the weekend, so here are some  nearby things to do Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Ferris Bueller Screening: Watch Ferris Beuller's Day Off in Agoura High School's main quade at 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $3. The movie begins at dusk. Agour High at 28545 Driver Drive, Agoura Hills.

Rex Bravo: The has a showdown at the Bombay Corral again this weekend. The melodrama takes the stage at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the High Street Arts Center, 45 E. High St., Moorpark. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, students, teachers and military personnel and $12 for children 12 and younger. The show runs through Sept. 23.

Bully Prevention Workshop: Jason Flame's Tang Soo Do University is hosting a free bully defense workshop at 11 a.m. Saturday at 5285 Kazuko Court, Moorpark. Call 805-530-0000 to reserve a space.

Commedy of Errors: See Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts at 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. Tickets to this are $15. The play runs through Sept. 16.

Malibu Creek Healing Project: Heal the Bay's Stream Team is partnering with the Mountains Restoration Trust to restore areas of Malibu Creek and its tributaries. This event will take place at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at  in a shady area in the Tapia Unit of the Malibu State Park. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water, a snack, sunscreen and hat. Gloves and tools will be provided. Space is limited, so reservations are required. . The park is at 1925 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas.
