Moorpark's 5 Things to Know Today: April 23

Here are five facts to start your Monday.

  1. The Moorpark Library is partnering with the Ronald Reagan Library and Museum to present a presentation by Constitutional scholar and historian Dr. Richard Beeman. It begins at 4 p.m. at the Reagan library. For more information, visit the Moorpark Library website and register here for the event.
  2. National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday. You can participate by dropping off unused medication at the Moorpark Police Services Center at 610 Spring St.  
  3. Don't forget, the city's Arts Festival takes place on Saturday along High Street. Admission is free.
  4. The National Weather Service is predicting a high near 64 degrees and a low near 52 degrees. The service is predicting rain on Wednesday.
  5. Moorpark's lowest price per gallon for regular gas is $4.17, according to GasBuddy.com. Find it at the Shell station at 301 W. Los Angeles Ave. and the Alliance station at 50 W. Los Angeles Ave.
